The "PERFECT STORM" for home buying?

When asked, most Realtors will tell you that the best time to buy a home was last year. That was until now! There aren't too many people who make their living in this industry who wouldn't agree and that includes those who invest in real estate!

Why is it such a good time?  There is an amazing combination of facts that have converged recently driving the costs down and the margin for future profit way up. Combinations of the lowest interest rates in a gneration (over 40 years anyway), federal tax credits and the increased inventory of preowned homes all  lead to a buyers market!

In El paso County, the average medial sale price as of February 2010 is down to $178,000, down from $193,000. This won't last long and in fact we are seeing prices rising by roughly 6% over the first quarter of the year and anticipate that trend to continue throughout the year.

The unprecidented tax credit being offered has some critical deadlines like the home must be contracted before April 30th and close before June 30th! To miss this opportunity when one qualifies to buy a home makes no sense! This is literally CASH IN YOUR HAND!
